Nice work Syd. I’m with you on the OC issue, I’d like for there to be no issues, but there are and ignoring them doesn’t help the cause.
That said, I often wonder if I’m wrong about it. I can imagine that during the civil rights movement, similar arguments were made for/against the radical position of equal rights for minorities.
Thanks. I support open carry. I’ve done it, but of course Kentucky is gun heaven, and I’m uniquely blessed to live in a state so enlightened on guns. With the political winds shifting to the lefties, I’m really concerned about the whole spectrum of gun rights and the attempts that will surely be made to turn back the clock. It seems to me that the open carry folks are making their moves at the wrong time. 6-8 years ago would have been a lot better. Now, things are much more difficult, and I believe that the odds-on bet is that the Democrats are going to make a clean sweep in November. We are facing a difficult political climate, and demonstrations like appearing at an Obama rally with a gun, while I give the guy major props for balls, will probably work against us.
